Back from Paris…

Hi, I have been sadly negleting my blog over the past couple of weeks, but am back on course.

Just getting back from Indigo Tradeshow in Paris which was fantastic…… Rubbing shoulders with the likes of Dianne von Furstenburg… so exciting

I feel like I am becoming part of the textiles industry, doing work for internationally renown companies, and i am very excited as I am in  the process of getting some of my designs into boutiques.

OFF TO ITALY… Comon Texprint

Very excited ….! I got a great phone call yesterday from Texprint telling me that the people who do the Comon exhibition, which is a scalf competition part of Texprint have selected myself and another girl from the 24 at Texprint to go to Como Italy for a week in October with the 6 winners and runners up from the scalf competition.

I cant wait….. Since graduating I feel really inspired and driven,

I have started my first collection for Premiere Vision- Indigo September, and it is starting to take shape. Its challenging and exciting doing my first collection without any input  or feedback from tutor s, hopefully it will turn out good, ill keep you posted…

Im off to leeds this weekend, and hoping to get a look in Harvey Nics and Paul Smith Shop, Market research…Im going to create a scalf print as part of my collection and need some inspiration. ..

Texprint 2009

I got through to the 24 for Texprint 2009.

It has been an amazing opportunity meeting so many influential people, making contacts and getting to present my work to amazing designers Zandra Rhodes, Giles Deacon and  Grayson Perry. I have loved every minute of it, and I am very excited to exhibit at Indigo in Paris in September.

I also made lots of press contacts, getting the opportunity to have my work photographed by online blogs, magazines and trend companies. Today I going to do some photgraghy of my work and portfolio, so hopefully tomorrow I will have lots of new images on here and an online portfolio on my flikr account which you can link to rom here, so that should be exciting……

OFF to ….NEW DESIGNERS

Off to New Designers on Monday, can’t wait…. 1 Week in London, with lots to do. If you want to come and check out my work and lots of over graduates  showcasing their work, come  to The Business Design Centre in Islington, london N1 OQH between the 9th and the 12th July.

This has been a very exciting week, RESULTS were out. I will graduate with First Class Honours… very happy

I love the Glastonbury article on Vogue.com, with all this gorgeous sunshine I hope the weather stays for V Festival this year….However I have upgraded my Red Hunters this year and I will be wearing come rain or shine Blue Glitter Hunters…mmm they are gorgeous

My favourite outfit at Glasto this year has got to be Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s.…..

Its the last day of the Degree Show tomorrow, its flew over. This weekend is going to be spent sorting out my Portfolio for my Texprint interview and New Designers………
